Lyn's list reminded me of a couple of clangers I have dropped in school.

I once said briskly to my Y11s "Right, coats off everyone. Come on Lloyd, let's have it off"

And another coat comment to a boy who would NOT remove his coat even in summer: "Come on Tom, take off your coat. You're making me hot just looking at you."

I've not been reported - yet ...

What have you said that you wish you could rewind?!!

As a former PE teacher, and teaching boys as well as girls, I always had to think carefully about every sentence containing the word "balls."For instance, you simply could NOT say " Keep hold of those balls." A regular minefield!!
